1)
Dear Fr Valentine,
I worked as medical officer in Beaufort Hospital in
1971. My baby son died there and was buried in the cemetery along the railway
line going towards K K. I will be visiting Beaufort from Ireland next month and
would like to visit his grave, but I need information. Is the cemetery still in
use or has the area been developed? Please let me know if you receive this
e-mail so that I know I have your correct address.

Your's sincerely
(Dr) Paul Cavanagh

2)
Dear Edren
Thank you for your e-mail. I was in Beaufort in 1971 and 1972.
Baby John Cavanagh was born in the hospital on 27th Dec 1971 and died on the
same day.The parish priest was away for a few days visiting outlying parishes so
was unable to conduct the funeral on 28th Dec., but did a blessing ceremony of
the grave a few days later in the Catholic cemetery. The grave had a wooden
cross inscribed with the words "Baby Dr Cavanagh"
I live in Ireland and am at present visiting my daughter and grandchildren in
New Zealand .I will be in Sabah for a week from 14th Feb.

Thank you for your help
your's sincerely
Paul Cavanagh
